What information does Bellastone Systems collect and why?

We collect information you provide when you place an order by phone, fax or email. This information "may" include the following:

  • Your name
  • Your mailing address
  • Your e-mail address
  • Your phone number
  • Your credit card number / 3 digit security code
  • Your IRS number for import, as applicable.

It may also include information you submit about other people; for example, the name and address (e-mail and postal) of a ship to destination other than your own. We only use information you submit about other people in order to deliver information, products, or services specifically requested by you. An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) number is only required by US Customs from a US resident receiving products originating from Canada. This is typically only required for products that are being shipped by common carrier (18 wheeler) although not exclusively so. AN IRS number can be either an Employer Identification Number for a business entity or social security number for an individual.

You may investigate the US Customs regulations on the requirement for SSN #'s directly on their site regarding tips for new importers.

What Are Cookies

As is common practice with almost all professional websites this site stores tiny amounts of data in your web browser to improve your experience. This page describes what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store this information. We will also share how you can prevent this information from being stored however this may downgrade or 'break' certain elements of the sites functionality.

For more general information on cookies see the Wikipedia article on HTTP Cookies.

How We store information

Most people refer to data stored on your computer as "cookies". Before HTML5, application data had to be stored in cookies, included in every server request. HTML5 introduced "Web Storage" which is more secure and does not impact the performance of a website. We use two methods to save website information in your browsers memory: SessionStorage, LocalStorage. We don't actually use cookies. You can read about these three methods of storage on this Quora post. We store information for two reasons: to improve how you customize and checkout products, and to record your acknowledgement of our use of local storage. For example, if you are choosing the dimensions or colors for a product and close the browser window, when you come back to that page it will remember your previous settings. Every page that uses local storage will also have a "reset form" option that will clear all data regarding that product out of your local storage.

Disabling Cookies or Clearing your Local Storage

Our site will work just fine if you block cookies or clear your local storage.

BellastoneSystems.com does not currently store any Localstorage items or cookies related to your browsing information.
